Matthew Perry’s sudden death has resurfaced on social media
following a major development in the case: a North Hollywood woman known as the
“Ketamine Queen” has pleaded guilty for her role in the actor’s tragic
overdose.
Jasveen Sangha, 42, admitted in a Los Angeles federal court to five felony
charges, including supplying ketamine to the late Friends star. Wearing
a khaki prison jumpsuit and ankle shackles, she entered her plea on Wednesday,
September 3.
When questioned, Sangha admitted her awareness of the
potential consequences of her actions, telling the court: “I knew something
was going to him, yes.”
The Shocking Timeline
According to prosecutors, Sangha sold 25 vials of liquid
ketamine to Perry on October 14, 2023. Just two weeks later, on October
28, 2023, the world mourned as Perry—best known for his iconic role as
Chandler Bing—was found dead at the age of 54 from a ketamine overdose.
Court filings reveal that Sangha had been running a
full-fledged narcotics hub. During a raid in March 2024, authorities
seized nearly 79 ketamine vials and several pounds of methamphetamine
pills at her residence, which investigators labeled a “drug-selling emporium.”
She has been in custody since August 2024, facing
intense scrutiny for her involvement in the case that reignited painful
discussions about Perry’s lifelong battle with addiction.
Perry’s Long Struggle
Matthew Perry’s fight with substance abuse was no secret.
The beloved actor shared his decades-long struggle in his 2022 memoir, Friends,
Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, candidly addressing his cycles of
recovery and relapse.
His openness inspired fans worldwide, making his untimely
passing even more heartbreaking. News of Sangha’s guilty plea has not only
brought renewed attention to his death but also reignited conversations about
addiction, accountability, and the dangers of ketamine abuse.
