Pakistani opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan has entered a rare milestone by becoming only the fourth Pakistani to score 1,500 T20 runs in a calendar year. He achieved this landmark in his 35th innings of 2025.

Before Farhan, only Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shan Masood had ever reached this mark. Babar did it three times (2019, 2021, 2024), Rizwan twice (2021, 2022), and Shan once (2022).

Farhan has contributed with bat for both domestic and international sides in 2025, turning up for Pakistan, the Peshawar region, and Islamabad United, distributing his runs across formats.

During the Asia Cup, he drew attention for a spirited 50 against arch-rivals India — he completed it with a six off Axar Patel and celebrated by mimicking his bat “firing runs.”

He defended his quirky celebration by saying he doesn’t typically celebrate, but this time he went with something different — and that he’s comfortable letting fans interpret it their way.

Of course, with such aggressive batting, he’s also faced scrutiny — but his intent has always been to play free and fearless cricket, even against top opponents.
